Any restriction that changes natural movement should be documented and accounted for in the lesson plan.

Fit is central to this evaluation. A suit that fits one large role player may be loose and unstable on a smaller instructor. Adjustable components help, but there is a limit. The Drill Must Still Look Real

A good system lets the role player use verbal aggression, distance management, resistance, escape attempts, and controlled counter-movements. Visibility is part of realism. Brightly colored surfaces can help instructors see target areas and monitor strike placement.
